Computer-Based Exam

The application process is the same for both Pencil & Paper and Computer-Based examinees. 


Once an examinee has been accepted to take the exam, they will receive registration details in an email. It is then the responsibility of the individual to request a date and location to take the exam through the online scheduling system with Prov, Inc. To schedule your exam, visit:

Each examinee must provide a picture ID, such as a driver’s license or a state identification card, and must bring his or her letter of admission from the BLS.


Computer-based testing sites are located throughout the continental US. Additional testing centers can be requested through Prov. A list of testing centers can be found here: Prov Testing Centers


Due to health concerns, the spring CLSO/CMLSO exam is being cancelled and the 2020 DOE workshop has been postponed. The fall exam will be held be held prior to the 2020 DOE workshop on August 17th, 2020. Our office team is working remotely and ready to assist you during our regular business hours!
